I’m a Brazilian documentary photographer, editor and visual artist, currently living in between The Hague (NL)and São Paulo (BR). I combine photography and storytelling with non-linear methods to address the connection between images, power structures and belief systems across society. And for this purpose, I constantly play the roles of storyteller, trickster, and connector.

My appreciation for the inherent quality of the photographic medium lies in the way it provides a dialogue between the mundane, the unknown, and the imaginary. By exploring semi-fictional and ambiguous narratives, I seek to find new stories that put the current media landscape into perspective.

You can find on my backpack a passion for underground comics, Brazilian modernism, and a curious eye for creative processes, identity, and media. Empathy and humor are my compass in advocating for visual and media literacy as a toolkit to sustain a global community that works for all of us.

As an editor I seek collaboration as an essential element of my work, thus investing in the transformative role of gathering and interdependency as fundamental factors to foster critical debates towards contemporary issues. My intentions are to challenge narratives and push the boundaries of what can be seen in a hyperconnected society.

My current practice focuses on how images in social platforms have been used to share and naturalize non-progressive values through digital media. My aim is to lift the curtain on the theatre of the absurd by revealing who are the ones keeping us down.
